Im April 2026 lizenzierte eine in Lausanne ansassige Dokumentarfilmerin 40 Minuten originales Filmmaterial an eine europaische Streamingplattform. Der Lizenzvertrag verlangte einen Nachweis des Erstellungsdatums. Die Filmemacherin reichte einen YouTube-Upload-Zeitstempel vom Vorjahr ein. Das Rechtsteam der Plattform lehnte ihn ab: YouTube ist keine akkreditierte Zeitstempelbehorde, und das Upload-Datum belegt nur, wann die Datei hochgeladen wurde, nicht wann das Werk erstellt wurde. Der Vertrag stockte sechs Wochen. Die Filmemacherin verlor das erste Zahlungsfenster im Wert von EUR 18.000, wahrend die Plattform auf konforme Schopfungsnachweise wartete.
